2012: Aftermath (The Unofficial Story)

Standing at the deck of the massive ship Alex gave a sigh. The ship was drifting at the course of Africa. Seven massive ships called Saviours were built. And during that hour, after so many millions of people were dead, only a handful survived. And they were lucky. Of all the millions that died on that day, there were million others who were refugees and were walking aimlessly in life. But the earth is small. Somehow, someday, they will meet. But till then, out of the seven Saviours, only four made it through. Each with a capacity of hundreds of thousands of people, with resources of up to four years, and an unlimited supply of oxygen. The thing is currency was not the main supply anymore. The events that went on the other day was a lesson to learn. And it has made the world economy imbalanced. The drift off course to Africa would take months. And in that months to come, there will be hardships for all, of humanity.

In that months of sailing, there were many chaos still, and emotions. Relatives, close friends, those who did not make it, of all the millions of people perished in a single day, there were many others who survived. And for those who did not make it, they were gone, forgotten in time, lost, in the midst of time. Those who were still alive were thankful. The months dragged on and on. Many have still not recovered from the devastating disaster that struck earth. Mankind's pride of technology, inventions, laws, freedom, all were destroyed. Massive factories, historical places, the Buckingham Palace, Eiffel Tower, Leaning Tower of Pisa, New York City, Manhattan City, Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, the China's Bird's Nest, Hong Kong, Japan, Russia, most parts were flooded, but the seas have given mankind another chance, another chance to build a new, another chance to restart what they have done wrong throughout the entire two thousand and twelve years. Till this day, 27th of the year 0001. In the month of January, a whole new earth begins.

At the time of 1500 hours of the month of January, day thirtieth of the year one, mankind reached the vast lands of Good Hope. What they saw was remarkable. Africa was untouched by nature's fury. Docking on deep seas just near the edge of the Good Hope lands, mankind's first ever exploration of the New Africa begins. Everything was harder than before. Supplies were low, resources dropped to the red mark, which means they have insufficient resources. With the available instruments they have inside Saviours, they marched out, in groups to hunt for food. The usual day changes, believes changes, religion changes, Saviours were broken down to build temporary homes. The ground was solid. Perfect for building homes and later, a tiny city. In the months and years to come, mankind had achieved their superiority again. But mankind have flaws, again the lands were divided. Everything was hard to get, mankind changed their way to the ancient ways, using swords, bows and arrows, only the smartest could use guns and grenades. The early years were still fresh, little or no economy was generated. Food was available throughout the land, there were no need for money. Everything they wanted was there. The land had almost a million people, most of which who are rich, find their selfs searching for food alone, without any help from their servants, maids and so on. It gave them harder times to survive. Very few was dead, or perished, they did not know of the nature in Africa. It was mean. And it wasn't just the fight for food, it was the fight for survival. Mankind garrisoned their homes, people come together to develop tiny villages. Together they help each other to hunt for food and think of ways to enhance their life. Four massive Saviours were broken down to make homes and walls. The remaining steels and aluminiums were made as docks. Small boats were made out of the tonnes of steel which were used. Day and night were changed. There were more night than day, mankind need to find ways to power their homes and they found one. A prototype engine salvaged from the Saviour ships. It required nothing but the power of the Sun. Very few knew how to operate a lot of things. Mankind needed a lot of time to teach and cooperate with each other.

And for the years to come, there is a new Earth. A new beginning, new technology have been invented. With their new submarines capable of deep sea voyages, salvaged the previous earth's resources. And for the years to come, mankind has grown in population, from millions to billions again, and cities were made again, new cities with new names. New lands were discovered. Old cities deep down were fitted into textbooks, relived in new museums as the old ones were destroyed. Everything in the world changed. New laws were made, new rules were made. New lands were discovered from the previous floods. With the new technology submarines salvaged from the old Saviours, old lands and cities like New York City, Miami, various parts of the known land were rediscovered. Meanwhile back on land, man tries to improve themselves, with almost a hundred percent of knowledge about our earth gone, mankind has to restart civilization all over again. Cellphones were gone. There was almost very little technology going on. Most of the things that was advancing was the economy. Slowly farmers and hunters got into the economy.

The earth advances again, slowly. And after all, we are still recovering from the aftermath.
